Mr. Justice Chapman said he had communicated with 'the sCliief Justice regarding Native jurors conversing with interested parties. He cast no reflection on the Maori jur- ■ ors, who had been indiscreet in listening to harangues. He would have to discharge the jury, and, if necessary, order a new trial. The question of title was raised, and would be referred to Chambers.
