THRASHING MILL EMPLOYEES' DISPUTE
Br Telegraph—Presa Association. Duncdin, November 19. Tho Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. Hugger, sat to-day to hear the thrashing mill employees' dispute. Mr. Cookson, secretary of tho Employers' Association, 6tated that he had forwarded a letter to the assessors for the union pointing out that only A. and I'. societies and farmers' unions had been named as parties to the dispute., As the societies and unions named as parties had not been registered under the Act tho Arbitration Court had no jurisdiction to bind them, end any agreement entered into would not bo enforceable. lie suggested that fresh application should bo made naming individual employers as parties. It was decided that the case should bo struck out and fresh proceedings taken.
