LIEUT-COLONEL SHERWOOD-KELLY IN THE DIVORCE COURT. London, November 12. In tho Divorce Court, Mrs. SherwoodKelly, formerly of New South Wales, was grunted ft decree- for restitution of conjugal rights against Lieut.-Colonel Sher-wood-Kelly—AU3.-N.Z. Cable Asm, "I AM A PKOUD WOMAN." (Eec. November 13, 9.30 p.m.) London, November 11. Mrs. Shenvood-Kelly, in her evidence, etated that ehe married Liout.-Colonel Sherwood-Kelly in 191tr. After four days' honeymoon her husband returned to Franco. Later they went to South Africa, where several women fascinated her husband. He began to complain that hn wn tirerf of the marriage, and regretted that ho had given up his liberty. Thev returned to England, . but lived apart. Petitioner wrote: "I am a proud woman, und would not beg favours! If you do not want me, tell me. I think that the men and women who maxle you out to be such a hero must have turned your head. You will soon be an ordinary citizen, and perhaps will sigh for the affection you despise to-day." Tho husband, in reply to the letter, said he had decided not to return to her. —Aus.-N.Z. [Lieut-Colonel Sherwood-Kelly last month pleaded guilty at a, eourt-mnrtial to writing letters to the "Daily Express" in which' ho stated that, instead of preparations for tho withdrawal of the British troop in North Russia, ho found plans laid for an ambitious campaign in tho interior, the nature of which was kept eecret.]
