NOT THE TRUST

A NKW ZEALAND COMPANY'S COM'PLAINT. The Agricultural Committee has reported on the petition of C. C. M. Olliyier, of Christchurch, praying that the allegations made Hint. Sims. Cooper and Co., Ltd., have been or are now associated with an American .Meat Trust should bo investigated by a committee of tho House. The committee report that in their opinion Dr. lleakes, in his evidence before the Meal Export Trade Committee aelcd in good faith and in the public interest, and further the committee- had no evidence to connect Jfessrs. Sims, Cooper and Co., Ltd., with tho American Meat Trust, but on the contrary the evidence adduced showed that the company is in mi way connected with the trust. This view is borne out by tho finding of the Meat Export Trado Committee in 1917.
