WAKATIPU SKAT. Mr. P. Scott, member in the present House for tho seat of Olago Central, is to bo the Heform candidate for Wakatipu. Sir AVilliam Fraser, sitting member for AVnkalipu, has declared that he will not seek re-election. Mr. Scott's electorate of Central Otago, is. one of those which has been cut out by tho Boundaries Commissioners, and a great part, of the territory has been added to Wakntipu. CANDIDATES FOK OTAKI. The Otaki sitting member is promised lively opposition at the general election, no fewer than four others having stated their intention of being candidate-, telegraphs our special correspondent. .Mr. iC.'.J. Hnrkness, of Ohau, a member of the Horowhenua County Council, the I AVcllington Education Board, and variI ous dairying organisations, states that in the event of Air. C. A. Monk failing to contest the scat he will do so, as an | Independent. Mr. E. Macdonald,. of To How, has also signified his intention of being a, candidate in tho Liberal-Labour interests. Mr. Macdonald is a member of Te Iloro branch of the Farmer**' Union. Mr. Isherwood, proprietor of tho Railway Hotel, Otaki, lias also announced that ho will seek Parliamentary honours in tho interest of Liberalism. Tho other candidate is Mr. Join M'Kenzie, a returned, soldier, who has already given an. address in the interests of Labour. TUB MASTERTON SEAT. By Telegraph—Special Correspondent.
