The Board of Tnulo Bill whs discussed 'at 11 meeting of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and other representatives of the wholesale and retail maiiiiiacturing interests. It was resolved:—"That this meeting, having regard to the very wido terms of the Board of Trade Bill, requests tho Prime Minister to permit tin recommittal of tho Bill, with a view to obtaining, inter alia, a, definite assurance: (a) That the eust of replacement of an article or product ehall be the basis of computation when the question of excessive profit .irises; (b) that the average net profit upon the turnover of a business, and not the return upon a specific article or product, shall be the determining factor; (c) That in the framing of regulations contemplated under sectiou 2?, provision bo.made whereby suctions of the co'inuiunity all'ccted shall be consulted."
