The Cilv Council to ; night accepted-a soheme for tho acquisition of sufficient lnnd for the erection of nt least two hundred houses. Provision is made for sale of the houses, when erected,'on easy ternH, spread over a varying period of years, to suit the circumstances of apolicants. It was stated that the exuenditure involved was between «C 150.,000 and .£200,000. There was plenty of land within easy access of Cathedral Square which could easily fill the Bill.
