THOROUGHBRED STOCK
. Five head of purebred Holstein stock arrived from Vancouver by the Tahiti yesterday. Although the cattle are not for New Zealand, one of their number, a bull, is associated with New Zealandbred stock. It is a yearling Holstein from a famous stock. Mr. J. F. Sim-' lnons. of the Colony Farn., EssiMulale, Vancouver, British Columbia, who is .in cbarke of the cattle, stated yesterday that the bull has 2.1 per cent, of the finm'e blood as the New Zealand cliatnpion cow Burkje "Sylvia Posh," 33 per cent, of the 6ame blood as the Carnation stock farmers prize bull, which was sold last .year for 100,000 dollars, and 33 per cent', of the Canadian champion bull "Aggie - Cornucopia Newman," which has a world's record dam and world's record daughters on milk indication. The animals come from tlie Cnimdian Government tarm, and are being brought out to the order of Major E. F. Findlay. of the Sydney "University. The total value of the stock is approximately <£1000. ■
