TEAMS FOR TO-DAY'S INTER-STATE MATCH. By Telegraph-Press Association. Auckland, September 5. The teams for to-morrow's inter-State League game are:— Australia.—Eraser, Howler, Cubitt, 'l'liorogood, Robinson, Johnson, Halloway, Schultz, O'Donnell, Ryan, Burge, Townsend, and Wutkins. Now Zealand.—Dufty, lies, Ifwerseu, Davidson, M'Gregor, Bradley, Walsh, Haddon, Lowry, Williams, Walters, Avery, and Scott. At the weekly meeting of tho Wellington Rugby Football League, correspondence was received from Auckland Stating that it was impossible 16 play Wellington this year owing to all grounds being taken up. It was dccidcd to invite Canterbury to play Wellington at Wellington on September f3, and to invite them to send a junior representative team to .play the Wellington juniors as a curtain-raiser to tho senior game. II: was also decidcd to return the visit of Canterbury on September 20, when a Wellington junior representative team will play Canterbury as a curtain-raiser to tho senior game. In view of theso games a senior game will bo played at Petone on Saturday between Town and Country.' A junior game of the same description will also tako place on the same ground. These games aro being specially played in order to enablo. tho selectora to pick both tlie senior and junior representative teams to play Canterbury. , Information was received from tho Now Zealand Council stating that , a match had been arranged between Wellington and Australia on October 4 if a ground could be secured.
