ILL-TREATMENT OF A BOY
FATHER SENTENCED TO FOUR MONTHS' IMPRISONMENT. ISy Teli-eraD I .'Anfl^laMnn. Auckland, August 21. The hearing of the charges against Angus Cnlder, of Mangere, in respect io the death of his seven-year-old son was concluded to-day. The accused was found guilty on two minor charges of wilful ill-treatment, with a strong recommendation to mercy, and not guilty on the manslaughter charge. A sentence of four months' imprisonment was imposed.
