New Zealand at Concert Chamber at.3 p.m., by Bishop of Wellington. Ball at Government House to Admiral and officers in the evening. Saturday, August 23. Golf luncheon lor officers by Wellington Golf (Hub at Heretaunga. Hookey match, H.M.S. New Zealand v. Ramblers, at Karori Park, at 3 p.m. Admiral, officers, and men invited to attend League football match, Australia v. New Zealand, at Basin Reserve, at 3 p.m. Ship's "soccer" team to play at Porirua. Admiral and officers at Orphans Club in the evening. Monday, August 25. Hockey match, H.M.S. New Zealand v. Wellington, on Basin Reserve at 2.45 p.m. Invitation to Admiral, officers, and men to attend inter-collegiate Rugby tournament at Athletic Park. Tuesday, August 2!>. Invitation to officers to visit Ifelburn Tennis Club's courts from 10 a.m. New Zealand Club's luncheon to Admiral of the Fleet, Viscount Jellicoo, at 1 p,m, Association football match, H.M.S. New Zealand v. Wellington, on Basin Reserve at 3 p.m. Wellinslon Club dinner to Admiral Viseomit Jellicoo and his staff in tho evening. Wednesday, August 27. Invitation to men to visit Artcraft Picture Theatre, at. 2.30 p.m. Invitation officers and men to be present at If.mrby football tournament at Athletic Park.' Thursday, August 28. Invitation to men to attend Artcraft Theatre at 2.3 ft p.m. Rugby football .match, H.M.S. Now Zealand v. Victoria College, on Kelburn Park at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 30 Association football match. H.M.S. New Zealand v. Wellington on Basin Reservo at 3 p.m. Invitation to attend Ranfnrl.v Shield match, Wellington v. Canterbury, on Bii«iu Reserve at 3 p.m. Admiral, stall', and officers of Now Zealand at Savage Club in tho evening. GENERAL ITEMS. Every morning (Sundays excepted) special observation ears will leave the Post Office for different points of interest in and beyond the city for the edification of tho men of the New Zealand who may be on shore leave.
Tho Wellington and Brougham Hill Tennis Clubs aro throwing their courts op.-n to the officers during their visit to Wellington.
The municipal golf links at Borhampore have also been thrown open for tho use of those on the New Zealand who lova the ancient and honourablo game.

Some of the officers are kern on shooting, mill an endeavour is being made lo oblige them as far as rabbit and pigshooting is concerned. Anyone who couud lend practical assistance in that regard should communicate with Mr. A. Marryntt, the chairman of tlio Sports Com-, iiiitteci.
THE SCHOOLS' DAT. It has been arranged that the school children, both of the State and Catholic Schools, will visit H.M.S. New Zealand 011 .Monday afternoon between 1 and 5 o'clock. As a large number of children have to be arranged for, a set tour through the ship that wii'l occupy about half-aii-hour has been planned ill order that there may bo no contusion and no "running wild" about tlio ship. The chii'.dren, under the care of their teachers, will tiscend by one gangway, make tho tour of tho ship, descend to the WJiaii 'Ijy another gang-way, and then pass through tho big shed alongside) tho berth,, whero each child will receive a packet of sweets. They will thon be escorted irom (lie wharf, and so mala; their way homeward. As the Wellington Boys' and. Gins Colleges are to "break lip" for their term holidays to-day, the happy thought has struck Mr. W. Foster (chairman of tho Headmasters' Association) that each State school': headmaster might invite ex-pupils to accompany the scholar*: of their old schools on their visit to the battleship, which will probably be done by advertisement in the newspapers.
TO-DAY'S SPOUTS. The sports arranged for the men by the Sports Committee will commence on the Basin Reserve at 2 p.m. to-day. The programme, which has been designed on. lines that are likely to be, most appreciated by the bluejackets, will include ordinary running events, an obstacle race, barrel race,, cigarette race,, spar fighting, greasy pole, etc. Cash prizes are being awarded. His Excellency tho GovernorGeneral is to attend the sports.
The children of the Petone public schools will not take part in the visit to 'be paid to H.M.S New Zealand, owing to the impossibility of arranging for the supervision of the scholars. During the forenoon yesterday tho chairman fMr. J. B. HarcourO and members of the executive of tlio Navy League paid nn official visit to Admiral Lord Jfillicoe. and were cordially received. _ The Wellington branch of the Navy League lias decided to purchase four thousand copies of Mr. Clutlia Mackenzie's "History of H.M.S. New Zealand for distribution among its members. Other branches have also ordered copies, dnd altogether 11,000 copies will tained by the Navy League in New Zealand.
