Y.M.C.A. WAR WORK
On page 2 of this issue, the National Council of the New Zealand Y.M.G.A. publish their war funds financial statement, which covers the monetary aspect of the association';; operations in the following spheres:— (a) The maintenance in New Zealand of its work at all military, camps, at military hospitals, and at tho soldiers' hut. and the hostel in the City of Wellington and other centres in the Dominion. (b) The work on troopships voyaging from and to New Zealand. (c) Operations in Egypt and Palestine, including the conduct of the wo|)-known Soldiers' Recreation Club -at Ksbekia Gardens, Cairo. '(d) Operations in England at all tho New Zealand camps and military hospitals in .various English cities and in London, which was the centre from which Hie work in England and Franco was controlled. In London itself, apart from the administrative work, the operations included the Shakespeare Hut and other hostels, also entertainment and hospitaliiv work. (c) Operations in Franco and Belgium from the New Zealand base to tho firingline, and also in Germany. (f) Operations at ports of call Between Now Zealand and .Great Britain.
