WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY

A meeting of tho Wellington Presbytery was held last evening, the Rev. J. •-11. Mackenzie, Moderator, presiding. Tuo dork Io tim session, Hew W. Shirer, reported that the Petono vacancy was still receiving attention. A meeting of the congregation would be held on August 19, when tho report of the Selection Committeo 6et up to deal with the question of tho vacancy would bo considered.

On tho motion of the Rot. W. J. Comrie, it was decided to ■set up a committee, consisting of tho Moderator, tho ltevs. W. Shirer, J. Cummiug, the Hon. J. G. W. Aitkcn and Messrs. M'Leod, liittlojolm, and the mover, to consider the question of representation in the Assembly and Presbytery.
