It is unofficially reported that the Government is conceding the four -main points' of the seamen's claims, but have refused to release Walsh until work is resumed. It is also reported that the Seamen's Council has recommended the resumption of work on these terms.—Press Assn. " OUTLOOK LESS' BRIGHT. (Rec. August 12, 0.55 p.m.) Sydney, August 11. Conflicting reports regarding the strike negotiations have again dampened the hope of an early settlement. It was officially stated to-day that in spite of tho optimism of the leaders, the men adhered to their determination not to consider the terms of settlement until Walsh waa released. On the other hand, certain officials of the Seamen's Union denied that this was the men's attitude.—Press Assn.
