STEAMER LOST
QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT'S S.S. LLEWELLYN. (Rec, August 5, 0.5 a.m.) Brisbane, August 4. The Government steamer Llewellyn is missing. She loft Rockhampton for Boweit witli forty tons of foodstuffs on July 16. No news of her has been received since. The Llewellyn was originally a pilot steamer, and carried eleven of a crew and two passengers. A search was made by a steamer, "which reports finding tho beach at St. Bees Island strewn with the Llewellyn s wreckage, including a lady's nightdress, and a lifebelt with a portion of a lady's hair jammed in it—Press Assn.
