Tho Wellington Laud Board concluded its business yesterday, when tho following matters were dealt with:— Transfers, The following transfers were approved: Section 81, Block I, Makuri V.S., 10 acres, J. Lawson to E. Gregg. Section 9, Block 11, Tararua S.D., 200 acres, 0. A. O'BJagan to 0. Lund. Section UG, Block XV, Hautapu S.D., 139 acres 1 rood 31 perches, PL E. Lowe to J. S. Lott. Section 51, Block XIII, liowa S.D., 1275 acres, T. Cooper to K. D. Thomson.
Applications for Fee Simple. The following applications icy the fee simple wero granted:— Section 15, Block IV, Pohangina S.D., 300 acres, Thomas Searle. Section 35, Block VI, Hiuiua S.D., 2 acres 1 rood 12 porches, D, Jackson. Section 19, Block IV, Mangahao S.D., 62 acres, T. F. Ryan. Section 13, Block IV, Mangahao S.D., 13S acres- 1 rood 30 perches, William Fergus. Section 7, Block IX, Kaitieke S.D., 775 acres, P. Sherwin. Section 7, Block VI, Hunua S.D., 110 acres 2 roods 31 perches, W. O'Brien. Section 27, Block XIII, Ohinewairua S.D., 100 acres, W. M'Lennan and T. L.' Barry.. Section 32, Block XIV, Tararua >S.l>., 305 acres, Thos. , Henry Palmer.
Sub-Lease. The following su'b-leaso was approved: -Section U, Block XVI, Apifci S.D., 200 acres; Section 18, Block XVI, Apiti S.D., 109 acres; J. C. Thurston and James Kerr to R. 0. Batchelor. '
Miscellaneous, An application was received from C. L. F. Honore for a license to cut firewood on his milling area, Lot 4, at Horopito —It was resolved to grant it at a royalty to be fixed by the Crown Lands Runger. A report was received from the i anger, on Section 22, Block XIII, Mangahao S.D., 200 acres.—lt was resolved to reoffer the land at 275. per acre weighted with ,£235 for improvements. An application . was received from Messrs. Holt and Sons for a renewal of their license over sawmill site Block XVI, Manganui S.D., about 3 acres.—lt was resolved to grant them a new license •for a- term of three years, from July 1, 1919, under Section 307 the Land Act, 1908, at a rent of i' 3 per annum, subject to the usual conditions. (Site for sawmill and tramway.) Applications for a lease of Section 104, Block XIII, Belmont S.D., 17 acres 2 roods 31 perches, were received from J. C. Davis and the Petone Borough Council. —It was resolved to grant a permit to the council at a Tenia! to be fixed, The Commissioner reported the receipt of £&0 as loading for improvements on Section 97, Block VIII, Belmont S.D., Normandale Settlement.—lt was resolved to authorise tho payment of this amount to the Superintendent of the State Advances Office. The Commissioner reported the receipt of £105 as loading for improvements effected on parts sections 6 and 8, Block XII, iSlnuganui S.D.—lt was resolved to authorise the payment of this amount to tho person entihed t» receive it. The Commissioner reported the receipt of £'M as loading for improvements on Lots 87 and 22i, Hunterville Village-It was resolved to authorise tho payment of this amount to the person entitled to receive it. Applications wore received from discharged soldiers for Section 4, Bartholomew Settlement, 29 acres 3 roods 37 porches.—lt was resolved to advise tliein that as the Agricultural Department has decided to retain it for some time, the section is not at present available for selection. An application was received from the Ohakuno Borough Council to havo Section 38, Suburgs of Ohakune, 5 acres 2 roods 39 perches, vested in it as a site for stock yards.—lt was resolved to adjourn the, matter for tho ranger's report. F. J. Carter applied for a permit to cut firewood and posts on his milling area at Horopito.—lt was resolved to firnnt it at a royalty to be fixed by tho ranger. Tho Commissioner submitted a- plan of Oturoa Settlement, and it was to approve the scheme of subdivision adopted. The Commissioner submitted a survey plan of Kairanga Settlement, and it was resolved to approve the scheme of subdivision. The Commissioner submitted scheme of subdivision of Cloverlea Settlement, and it wus resolved to approve it. Applications for Land, The following applications for land were granted:— Section ' 12, Block IX, Scarborough Township, 1 rood, T.P., Daniel O'Brien; annual rent, 10s. Section 13, Block VII, Scarborough Township, 1 rood, T.P., George A'. Keats; annual rout, 10s. Sections 1, 2, 3, Block 11, Mangaweka South Township, 2 roods 31' perches, 'P.P., AV. H. H. Carter; annual rent, £1 55., from September 20, 1918. Section 2, Block VII, Uangataua Township, 1 rood, 'P.P., E. 0. Bunck; annual rent, 10s. 'Section 12, Block 111, Kakahi Township, 1 rood, 'P.P., li\ W. J. Greenstreet; annual rent, .£l.
