FIGURES FOR. JULY. The vital statistics for the past mouth show that compared with July, 11118, there were six more births, the totals being 182 ngniust 176. There is also a favourable showing in the number of deaths, the totals being 88 against 94, a decrease of six. The marriage licenses issue'd totalled. 108, showing the substantial gain of 33 over July of last year, when 75 such ■ licenses were issued. The marriages solemnised at the Registry Office last month numbered 28,' as against 2(i in July of last year. The figures, for the seven months ended with yesterday are not as favourable as the month's comparison. The births during the seven mouths totalled 121-t as compared with 1301 in the corresponding period of Inst year, a decrease 0f.90; the deaths numbered G7B as compared with 537, an increase of 1-11; the .marriage licenses issued totalled 030, an increase of 4!) over the corresponding seven months of last year. The marriages solemnised by tho acting-Registrar, Mr. K. G.Toulton, totalled 188, or two less than hi 1918, when the figuree were 190.
