ARTISTS' EXHIBITION

The intimate beauties of our own country rendered by artists with eyes alert ■to see them; n sense of joyous abandon in the presence of Nifturo; a ready draughtsmanship and a freedom in bru«liwork, make tho exhibition by the Society of Seven at the Paterson 'Art Gallery on Lambton Quay a pleasure to visit. If it be the mission of the artist to produce beautiful things,on canvas, and his mission also to stimulate interest in art, the little band, whoso motto mMit ■well be. "Wo a ro Seven," is apparently equakto the task. The number of carefully chosen works on view justifies the purpose of tho exhibition, and' cannot fail to' extend public appreciation of tho society's initial effort. The pictures will be on view for a fow days only.
