BRITISH CONVOY CUT UP

ON INDIAN FRONTIER. Simla, July 19. . Tho enemy attacked a British convoy proceeding to Fort Sandeman (or Apozai) on July lfi, inflicting heavy losses. Tho officer commanding the es> cort and four other British officers were killed, and two were wounded; and there were a hundred casualties amongst the Indian troops. The convoy was eventually forced to retire to Borbar. The enemy subsequently rejoined a large concentration camp near Kapip — Reuter.
