OUTBREAK ON AFGHAN FRONTIER
4FBIDIS ATTACKING BRITISH COMMUNICATIONS. (Rec. July 21, 10.30 p.m.) Allahabad, July 20. Tho Afghan frontier is again ablaze by an outbreak of Afridis, who are attacking our lines of communication' in Kltyber, via Chora. The enemy captured a. lii.U occupied by our pickets, inflicting serious casualties on tho British. Continuation of these attacks will involve the employment of large forces to guard the communications. It is significant of further developments that the C'oniman-der-in-CJiief is about lo visit the army on the frontier.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
