OPENED FIRM. WITH GOOD COMPETITION. (Ree. July 15, 8.20 p.m.) London, July 14. The wool sales opened firm, with good competition by the Homo trade and the French, and Belgians. Prices generally were, on-'a parity with those at tho last sales'. .' There were catalogued 9181 bales, of which 2573 were New Zealand. There ttas a fairly representative selection of merinos anil a poor lot of crossbreds. Prices for New Zealand lots: lIvPKT, top price; 22d.;'average 213 d. The Bradford market is slightly Msier, there being little business pass-ing—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
