COAL FROM NEWCASTLE
WATERSIDERS REFUciE TO UNLOAD. By Telegraph—Press Association Wanganui, July 14; The steamer Inga arrived with a cargo of coal from Newcastle on Saturday for the local gasworks. This morning when labour was being selected to unload the vessel, the men. refused engagement to discharge the coal, on the ground that the crew are non-unionists. If the coal cannot be unloaded, or other supplies do not come to hand, gas is like.y to be shut off on Wednesday, as the coal supplies are almost depleted.
