ORPINGTON CLUB
COMBINED POULTRY SHOW RECOMMENDED. (By Telegraph.-Speoial Reporter.) Palmerston North, June 19. The annual meeting of' the Orpington Club (North Island) was held to-day. Mr. J. Jarvis, president, was in the chair. The' annual report pointed to tho growing success of the club, and regretted the death of Mr. A. E. Storey, the most prominent breeder of Black and White Orpingtons in the Dominion. The membership of the club had increased. Tho report and balance-sheet were adopted. > The meeting decided that it he a. recommendation to .poultry specialists' clubs that a, combined show be held in Palmerston North next winter. 'Officersz-wcre elected as follow: President, Mr. John Jarvis; vice-presidents, Messrs. 11. AY*.' Bower (Levin) and J. W. M'Lean (Rbtorua); hon. treasurer,. Mr. C. P. Robert; council, Messrs. R. D. AVhyte, A. E. Drane t W. ,T. Harkes, and L. C. Purson; auditor, Mr. G. E. C. Whitehead. It was resolved to advise members by oircular of tho name of the judge of tho next annual show.
