The manager of the Pukcniiro Coal Company has advised tho miners that at the request of Sir James Allen, who interceded"on the subject of coal supplies to tho public, the company has consented to allow workmen's inspectors to examine the old workings in dispute, lho union secretary replies that the matter .will be dealt frith by the union on Thursday, and adds that resumption i ot work would havo been more expedited if the manager said that in future check inspectors would not bp inleriered tfitu in th 6 esecutionof their duties.
