SCHOOL CONCERT

The Berliampore School Committee .held a very succesful concert in St. Thomas's liall on Saturday. The hall was packed v.'ith an appreciative audience. The first part of the programme was taken up by Maud Bletsoe Buckeridge's "Gay Gambols." Queenie M'lnery was heard to advantage in her Dutch number, Breeches," but tho audience was given a. greater treat in her encore snappy number, "I'm on the Staff." Maud Bletsoe Buckeridge treated tho audience to a lovely coon lullaby, which demanded an encore. The concerted items of tho company kept the audience interested and amused. Albert Itussell's rendering of 'ipecacuanha" caused tho audience to indulge in hearty laughter. The comedian of the "Gambols" had i1i0.30 present in a state of excitement from beginning to end. Tho second part was occupied by tho scholars of Standards V and VI, who rendered "Ye Banks and Braes" and "The Mountain Maid's Invitation" very pleasingly. Master Emjry rendered "There's a Siiip That's Bound for Blighty," and us an cncorn "Good Old Now Zealand." Miss C. Vaughan gavo a graceful exhibition of dancing, and had to respond to an «neore. Miss ! Iris Wilkinson gave two recitations and an encore number. Mr. C. N. Tucker rendered a fiule solo with pleasing effect. .Mr. W. l'\ Thompson gave a nice, interpretation of an ' Evening Song." Misses I'). Snell and Lawson rendered a comedietta, entitled "The Lodger," of which the vast audience showed its appreciation by rounds of npplnifcc. Mr. G. W.
