A NEW MEMORIAL HALL

FOR THE WELLINGTON CENTRAL MISSION. The idea is not a new one, aud already tho movement has advanced practically. A site for the building- has been secured in Cuba Street, in the heart of the city, and already sketch plans have been pre-pared-for. the hall. Tho plans proposed include four lock-up ehops on the Cuba Street frontage—two on each side of tho main entrance—a large assembly hall capable of seating 1000 people, a Sunday .school with seating accommodation for 000 children, and a social or brotherhood hall to Beat 300, with class rooms, band room, gymnasium, and recreation loom. To successfully carry out tho project will involve an outlay of .£35,000, towards which the mission contributes in property and its own efforts iIiOOO. The Methodist Conference has approved tho scheme, and an appeal is now being made to the goneral public to assist.
