THE STRANDED EXILES
TO COME BY MOERAKI. The arrangement made by the New Zealand Government and the Union Company for the return of a number of New Zealnnders stranded in Australia was that these people were to return in the Manuka. This ship hae now been taken by tho company to bring ncross passengers, wishing to connect with tho Niagara at Auckland. Another ship is being found by the company to bring: back the New Zenlanders. The Moeraki should have left Auckland and will bring back tho stranded New Zealanders. Unless unforeseen circumstances arise the Moernki will reach New Zealand with the exiles on board not raoro than two days after the time when the Manuka ehould have reached here. This information has been communicated to the Acting-Prime Minister by the general manager •of the Union Steam Ship Company.
