GERMANY'S BLUFF AND BOUNCE
Sir,—All this talk about Germany not feigning the Pence terms is, to my way of thinking, all bluff and bounce. Germany has no other alternative but to sistn. She is I>eaten, both militarily and commercially beyond all possible, hope of recovery—beaten like she never was before. So why worry? And in regard'to the Kaiser, why- not oxilo j him to St. Helena or some other far-awav island? Why bother about trying him ? When Napoleon was in the hands of the Prussians after Waterloo they didn't take the eamo drastic steps against their old-time eneiny that we propose taking, but spared his life. Much as I Hate the Kaiser I think we have had enough, bloodshed, and (akin? the Kaiser's life will not ntone for the thousands and thousands of brave boys -we have lost.—l am, etc., BLUFF.
