Members of the Parliamentary Industries Committee yesterday visited tho.Musterton A. and P. Association's grounds, tho Reliable Poultry Farm, where two thousand laying liens are maintained, tho Taratahi training farm l'or soldiers, which will soon be ready to'begin operations, and the Waingawa Freezing Works. The committee was much impressed with the possibilities of the district.

Members of the Industries Commission, headed by Mr. C. A. Wilkinson, M.l\, and introduced by Mr. ,T. T. M. Hornsby, member for the district, visited Greytown and Martinborough on Saturday returning to Carterton for the night. On Sunday the party passed through the electorate, calling at Featherston, AVaiorongomai, and Kototawai, being entertained hospitably by Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Matthews and Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Bidw'ill at tlio two latter, centres respectively. ]n the evening tlio visitors journeyed to Masterton,

In a ten-shot practice over the SOOyds. and 300 yds. ranges of tiic lTeiithcrston 1 llifle Club, Mr. W. Wakely was tho most successful marksman, with a scoro of'B3.

In a football mutch at Pnkio on Saturday Eeatherston scored 3 points to the home team's nil. The game was fcvery keenly" contested.
