The Now York "Tinies's" Washington correspondent says that it is officially tmnounced that President Wilson has promised France that he would propose u> the United States Senate the adoption of an agreement whereby tho United States, subject to the approval of the Leaguo of Nations, would go to the aid of France in the event of tho latter being attacked by Germany without provocation.—Aus.-N.Z.
