TUe Berlin correspondent of the "Daily Chronicle" says that the retaking of Munich involved 10 dentils and 1000 wounded. The material damage done amounted to .£15,000,000 and 5000 people were arrested, including von Eisner's widow, who was charged with having harboured and assisted Red leaders. He confirms the fact that twenty-two hostages were shot by the Communists. The number included the Princess of Tlnirm and Taxis and the Countess of AYeslarp. They were given a few minutes in which to writefarewell letters, and were then taken to a courtyard and placed in a row closo to a firing party of 200 soldiers.
