The fortnightly meeting of tho Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals took place last evening. The president (Mr. F. Meadowcroft) was in tho chair. The inspector's report dealt with three cases of lauio horses, two of horses with 6orcs, and one of overloading. It was reported that one lioi-se had been destroyed. Subscriptions received amounted to i£s 2s. 6d., including £1 Is. from Messrs. Dalgety and Co.
