REFUND OP TRAVELLING EXPENSES. An Imperial Army Order, made applicable' to New ■ Zealand,'provides for refunds to individuals of tho expenses incurred by them in proceeding from abroad, after the outbreak of war, to join the British Army. The.order applies to men who enibarked from South Africa on or before February 15, 1916, or from other places abroad on or before September 30, 1910, provided that within two months of tho date of their arrival in the United Kingdom they applied to tho War Office or to other recognised authorities for commissions or to a recognised recruiting officer for enlistment. The limitation of dates is due to the fact■that about the dates mentioned the Imperial authorities announced through the newspapers that per.sons travelling from abroad on their own initiative would have no claim for repayment of expenses.
