I'ussell said 10-day that a number-of picture theatres had opened in defiance of the Act passed Inst session. The opinion of Ihe Crown Law Office was thai', this was a 'broach of tTi'e act, ;ind prosecutions- had been ordered in several cases. Any proprietor found opening his ilieafie outside the hours allowed would bo proceeded against.
