AMATEUR ATHLETICS
The amateur athletic meeting, which was postponed last Saturday owing to tho landing of the Main Body troops, will bo held at the Basin Eeservo on Saturday next. Tho first race will commence at 2.30 p.m. Excellent entries have been received, including a number from outside of Wellington, and as very complete arrangements have been made by the committee in charge of the gathering a highly successful meeting is anticipated.
