TRAMWAY APPEAL BOARD
The Tramway Appeal Board met yesterday to hear -tlio appeal of Tram Conductor D. M. V. A. M'Queen against his dismissal from the corporation's employ on account of ill-health. The board comprised Messrs. AV. oj. Riddell, S.M., Ronayne and Tomlinson. Mr. Hutcliesou, secretary of tho Tramways Union, appeared for tho appellant, and Mr. J. O'Sliea for the corporation. After hearing the evidence, the board expressed the opinion that appellant, hn<l hot satisfied the members that his appeal should succeed. While ho was actually working in tho service he had done stood work, but it was purely a matter of health and whother the appellant was able to stand, tli-o work at night as well as during tho day. 'Die board recommended that appellant be given another opportunity by. the corporationa three months'' trial on broken shift.
