CRICKET
EMERGENCY MEETING OF WEL- ;. LINGTON ASSOCIATION. An emergency meeting of the Management Committee of the AVellington Gricket Association was held last, evening, Mr. C. G. AVilson presiding. The chairman explained that the meeting had been called -to consider the posi- ■ tion which had arisen as a result of the Wellington -Amateur Athletic Association haying decided to postpone its meeting on' the Basin Reserve, originally fixed for to-day, oiving to the reception to the Hororata's Main Body men clashins with the meeting. The Athletic Association asked the Cricket Association for its consent to use the Basin Reserve on March 22, instead of to-day. It was unanimously decided to assist the Athletic Association in the manner suggested, and also to forgo all senior cricket arranged for March 22. The -following will represent Thorndon Thirds v. Institute on Anderson Park:— Andrews, Brnmley, Brien, Edmunds, Johnston, Makin, Packing, Pearce, Irvine, . Stevens, Stanton, AVhittington. The following team will represent Old Bovs in their match with Petoiie:—Tucker. Beechey, Birch, Marris, Binnie, Knowles-Smith, Baker, Chote, Biill, Trof-t. -Lambert.
