Christchurch, February 14. The grain and produce market is very quiet. A few sales of wheat have been mado on the Government basis of' 6s. 6d. cV whatever price may' be' iiltimutely f.sed if an alteration is made. The oats market is slack, and sullies are coming forward in small quantities. Only forward sales of potatoes have ,been made, up .to <£6 per ton, a sj;/nt advance ..on late rates. . The crop is expected to bo wither above the average, this year. White clover seed has advanced slightly in respect to good samples'. . v ■
