MONEY MARKET. . The Bank, of England discount rate on January 12, 1917, was 5.1 ,per cent. On April 5 it was reduced to 5 per cent., at which llcure it has since stood. OPEN MAEKET KATES. Tho discount rate for three months' bille is 35 per cent.. «s compared with i\ per tent, last week, and 4 per cent, last year. Short, loans are quoted at 2J (?35) per cent., as against 3J per cent, last week, and 38 per cent, last year. COLONIAL AND OTHER PRODUCE. Butler, cheese, wheat, breadstuff a, and sugar are unchanged.
