There wae a large attendance of buyers, and bidding wan keen throughout. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Palmerston North ou February 6, we had a moderate yarding of both sheep and cattle. There was a very poor attendance, and bidding was. slack throughout. Thomson and Boose. There was a fair attendance of buyers from all parts of the district, ami as the sale'was an unreserved one, t.he largo yarding of both Blicep and cattle found buyers at prices well up to riding ratoe. Wethers -were in best demand, a pen of four-tooth wethers fetching 30s. Id.; two-tooth wethers, 23b. to 5Hs. Other prices were:—Four and siitootlr eweu, 265. Id.; four-tooth ewes, 245. lid.; two-tooth ewes, 225. M.; six-tooth ewes, 20s. Id.; f.m. ewes, 18a. 10d.; shorn owe lambs, 9s. 2d.; ehor:i wether lambs, -6s. 2d.; llomney rams, to s!gns. The main lines of cowa with calves were of (rood quality, and elicited keen competition, tho Hereford-Shorthorn-croBS realising £17, and the Polled Angus cows, £15 10s. to £16 10s. Polled Angus bulls wero in exceptionally keen demand, selling at from 19 lo sO.Vgua.; n, pen of yearlings fetching 12>ens.
