Both champions are now in.New Plymouth for the Taranaki Stakes, to be run on the second day of the T..1.C. meeting. F. Davis, with Desert Gold, arrived this afternoon. The mare was given a great reception. A huge crowd assembled at the railway station. Gloaming did an easy five furlongs on the track this morning. H. Gray has been engaged to ride Desert Gold, and B. Deeley will have the mount on Gloaming. Visitors are already arriving from all parts of the Dominion. TROTTING FORBURY PARK MEETING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, February 1.
