INFLUENZA IN AUCKLAND

THREE CONTACTS RELEASED. By Telegraph—Press Ansociation Auckland, February 1. Three of tho contact influenza cases from tho Niagara have been released from Motui'hi Island. Tho three influenza patients are progressing favourably. POSITION AT WANGANUI. By Tolegrapli-Pross Association. Wanganui,. February 1. 1 A statement by tho Minister of Publio Health that there were twenty notifications of influenza from Wanganui during the week* ending Janunry 20 created a great deal of alarm here. Inquiries made show no corroboration of the statement made by the Minister as far as the town is concerned. Evidently Mr. Russell referred to the Wanganui district, which covers a large area, and not the town, where there are few cases.
