HOSPITAL SHIP MARAMA
: 1 ANOTHER TRIP POSSIBLE. It is still possible that the hospital ship Marania will jnak« another voyage to Europe. It was announced bv the Minister of Defence on Friday night at Palinerston that the ship had brought the last detachment of sick and wounded New Zealand soldiers that she would be required to carry, and this is so. The Maheno will bring back the last of the cot cases which have to come home in a hospital F.hip. There is a possibility, however, that the Marama .will be required by the Imperial authorities for the carriage home, possibly from some of the more distant theatres of war, of sick and wounded men, and in this case the medical staff and personnel of tho ship for this work may have to be found wholly or in part in New Zealand.- Sir James Allen said yesterday that he was. still waiting for advice from the Imperial authorities as to whether they wished to make use of the Matama.
