GISBORNE SUPREME COURT

The quarterly session of the Supremo Court opened to-day before Mr. Justice Hosking, who, in an opening address, said that there were seven indictments against six persons. A regrettable characteristic of the indictments was that almost all the persons charged were either about 21 years of.ago or under.

In a case of alleged manslaughter preferred against_ Archie Criill, 17 years of age, arising over a motor fatality, the Grand Jury returned no bill.

Henry Griffiths, a cook, pleaded guilty to theft and was admitted to probation. .
