ONLY THREE CANDIDATES. Nominations for the Wellington South 6e;it in Parliament rendered vacant by the death of the late Mr. A. H. Hindmarsh closed with the Returning Officer (Mr. J. 13. Perry) at the Newtown Free Public Library at (noon yesterday. The candidates nominated are as follow:— John Castle, nominated by .1. H. Kemp, Learv Read, Henry J. Hod, William Wylie, James Embury, Edgar C. Peltliam, Alfred Temple Perkins, Ernest Alfred Eyres. George Frost, nominated by Joseph William Backhouse, Sydney 11. Underwood, G. W. Key, and A. A. AVuitelaw. Robert Semple, nominated by H. E. Holland, M.P., James Barras, W. h. Ballantvne, and George E. Odlin. The returning officer reports that the rush for enrolment on Saturday was phenomenal, over a thousand names being received. As these have to be classified in order to be inserted in their correct places, it k not likely that the rolls will bs printed and available to the public until the end of the week.
