INTERMENTS AT KARORI FOR NOVEMBER

A HEAVY TOTAL. Owing to stress of work on the part of those concerned, the Registrar of Deaths for Wellington was not able io supply the number of deaths which occurred in Wellington during the month ended on Saturday. From the City Corporation s records, however, it was ascertained that th* total number of interments for the whole of November numbered 709, as against 94 for the preceding mouth and SS for November of Inst year. For the ten months ended October 31 this year the number of deaths recorded in Wellington and suburbs was 806. It should be explained that the number of interments recorded include those ol stillborn babies and babies one and two days old of which there has been a considerable number during the past fortnight, and these are counted individually.
