THE LATE NIGHT
CITY AGAIN NORMAL. Last evening was tho Into night in the city, and though- the weather was far from propitious, the streets were as crowded as they were wont to be in preepidemic days. Some of the larger retail premises did not keep open, but the large majority ,of other shops were open, and business was almost as active as in happier times, indicating tho swift return to normal the city is making. Many of the shops are now displaying goods that smack of tho aiming Christmas, and the festive -atmosphere such displays create appears already to lie having an effect on the public,, which is already showing a return to''its native buoyancy after tho sadden in? experiences of the past three weeks.
