CONFIDENCE IN TEE LEADER. A meeting of the Liberal' Party was held yesterday morning. . Sir Joseph Wjird, in communicating an account of the meeting, said that tho meeting was a satisfactory one. All members.of the party except two were present or accounted for. The following motions were carried unanimously.—

"That this meeting of the Libera! Party desires to express its unabated confidence in Sir .loseph Ward as leader of the Liberal Party, and wishes to. assure him of its continued loyally and support." "That in the opinion of this meoting Sir Joseph Ward, Leader of the Liberal Party, should accept the invitation of the British Government to represent, with Jlr. Massey,' New Zealand at the forthcoming meetings of the British War Cabinet and the sittings of the Peace Conference."

"That in the opinion of this meeting the agreement entered into between the two parties upon the formation of the National Government in 1915 should be loyally adhered to until after the return of the leaders from the Peace ConferTh'e members of the party also resolved as individuals to give every assistance in helping to put any necessary legislation through Parliament, and to do what they reasonably can to expedite dispatch of 'business, while at the same time discussing any matters that they consider necessary.
