The Minister of Defence (Sir James Alien) stated yesterday that he had given instructions thai the men of the Samoan garrison should he demobilised as soon- as possible. The Samoan Administration had cabled asking for medical assistance, .and he was trying to arrange for aid to be seni f ronr Sydney. New Zealand was not in V position to spare medical men at the present time.
