The chairman of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce (Mr R. Burns) hns telegraphed to the chairman of Associated Banks, urging that as the worst ol the epidemic is over here, and employees are returning to work, it is of the utmost importance to set business back to normal conditions ns early as possible. Tho writer suggests that the banks should reopen, if not at once, then in the course of a few days. In a telegram to Sir Joseph Ward Mr. Burns asks the Minister to snpnort the rcmiest made. ■ Duncuin, 'November 20.
